📝 APPLICATION PROCESS

  • What are the stages of the admission campaign?

  • How much do I need to pay for the entrance fee?
You only pay UAH 3100 for registration in the State System.

The cost of the contract is paid separately after signing the agreements.

  • What documents are required for admission to the university?
Foreign passport and documents on previous education (translated into Ukrainian and notarized)
  • What is the deadline for submitting application?
August 31.
  • Are there any peculiarities in preparing documents for admission? Should I prepare translations?
To be officially admitted to the university, you are required to provide notarized translations into Ukrainian of your apostilled or legalized educational documents and notarized translation of passport into Ukrainian. If your documents are not yet legalized, you may still register in the State System by uploading the original documents along with their Ukrainian translations. You will have the opportunity to upload the legalized versions at a later stage.
  • How many specialties can I apply for?
 You need to choose one priority speciality for application. But in total you can make 20 applications.
  • What educational programs are available in English?
  • What are the entrance exams at KPI?
For bachelor degree: English/Ukrainian, history of Ukraine, mathematics, geography.
For master degree: English and professional exam.
For PhD degree: English and professional exam.
  • Can I change my specialty when applying for a master’s degree?
Yes, you need to successfully pass a professional exam. This applies to all specialties except law and medicine.
  • What if I fail the exam?
We can give you another try or offer you to change your specialty.
  •  Should I come to Ukraine during admission campaign?
No, everything is possible to make online.
  • Do you have a foundation year (preparatory department)?

Yes, we have a Foundation Year.

  • Do you have online Ukrainian language courses?

Yes, we offer online 3-month Ukrainian language courses for everyone with the possibility of continuing to study the language at advanced levels. More information you can find here.

 

🎓 STUDY

  • What faculties does Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute have?
  •  Can I study part-time?
For now part-time available for Ukrainian language programs.
  • Are there double-degree programs?
Yes, university gives such opportunity for students.
  • What are the study durations for bachelor’s, master’s and  PhD’s degrees?
Bachelor – 3 years and 10 months, master – 1 year and 4 months (1 year and 9 months), PhD – 4 years.
  • In what format is the study conducted?
In Ukrainian-speaking groups, the study is conducted in a mixed format (lecturers online, practice and labs in person in laboratories). In English-speaking groups, the study is online.
  • Do I have to come to Ukraine to study?
No, if the study is conducted online.
  • If I study online, will this be indicated in the diploma?
No, our educational programs fully correspond to full-time study, so the diploma will also say full-time.

🏠 CAMPUS LIFE & FACILITIES

  • Does Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute provide dormitory accommodation?
Yes, there are 20 dormitories on the university’s territory, housing over 13,000 students.
  • What is the cost of living in a dorm?
  • What facilities are available on campus?
On the campus there are sports grounds, a cafe, a laundry, dry cleaning, student disco clubs, several grocery stores, and a pharmacy.
  • Are there libraries and research centers?
The Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Library is the largest technical university library in Ukraine, located in the center of the campus, on the Knowledge Square. Its collection includes over 2.2 million copies of educational, scientific and periodicals, including rare and valuable documents. In addition to textbooks, the library offers a wide selection of fiction and non-fiction. University also has several scientific and research centers of various kinds.
  • Do you help with the documents for a temporary residence permit?

Yes, we prepare all necessary documents from the university and provide advice on the entire process.

  • Do you help with the procedure of recognition of documents about previous education and apostille and legalization of diplomas?

Yes, you can complete this procedure yourself or have a trusted person do it, or the university provides such support for certain services.

  • What student clubs and organizations are active?
For the comprehensive development of students during extracurricular hours, University has more than 100 student clubs of scientific, engineering, and socio-humanitarian orientation.
  • Can I join sports teams?
Yes, you can join various sports groups: athletics, arm wrestling, football, volleyball, tennis, basketball, wrestling, boxing, aerobics, fitness, pointe, gymnastics, tourism.
