Admission to the Preparatory Department for Foreign Citizens (PDI) is subject to the following conditions:

  • availability of complete general secondary education;
  • invitation from the university for study.

The educational process according to the educational programs of the PVI is carried out in Ukrainian or English.
Deadlines for submitting original documents for study at the PVI are from July 1 to December 1, 2025.
Start of study at the PVI: from September 1 as the groups are filled.

List of documents that applicants personally submit to Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in paper form:

  1. application
  2. original and a copy of a legalized document on complete secondary education
  3. original and a copy of a legalized document (supplement to the document on education) containing information on academic performance
  4. copy of passport (page with photo)
  5. medical certificate of health
  6. four photos measuring 3.5×4.5 cm, colored, matte
  7. passport (presented in person)

Before submitting documents for a D visa for study in Ukraine, you must legalize your education documents specified in clauses 2 and 3.

  • Legalize your education documents at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of your country (or affix an apostille at the Ministry of Education of your country).
  • Legalize your education documents at the Embassy of Ukraine in your country.
  • The documents specified in subparagraphs 2, 3, 4 must be translated into Ukrainian after arrival in Ukraine with a notarized translation in the amount of (2 copies).

For remote admission to the PVI, you must send scanned copies of the following documents by e-mail:

  1. application
  2. copy of a legalized document on complete secondary education
  3. copy of a legalized document (supplement to the document on education) containing information on academic performance
  4. copy of passport (page with photo)
  5. color photo 3.5×4.5 cm (requirements as for a passport document)
  6. translation of the above documents into Ukrainian with notarized translation
The documents specified in points 2 and 3 must first be legalized at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country that issued them (or affixed an apostille at the Ministry of Education of the country that issued the documents on education). After legalization at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it is also necessary to legalize your documents on education at the embassy of Ukraine in your country.
Documents specified in sub-points 2, 3, 4 must be translated into Ukrainian with notarized translation and sent by mail admission@kpi.ua
