About the Centre for International Education

National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.
The training of foreign nationals has been conducted at the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute since its foundation. During this time, foreign citizens from 112 countries have received higher education here. Among them are ministers, diplomats, back-up cosmonauts, famous engineers, and scientists in various fields of science and technology. Notable alumni include Wojciech Świętosławski, a well-known Polish specialist in physical chemistry; Liu Zeng Feng, Minister of Civil Aviation of the People’s Republic of China; Maidarjavyn Ganzorig, a Mongolian back-up cosmonaut, and many others.”
The Centre for International Education is a structural unit of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and performs the following functions:
  • organization of recruitment of foreign citizens for studies;
  • admission and enrollment to the university;
  • organization and control of the educational process;
  • assistance in processing documents for residence and settlement;
  • processing documents for obtaining a temporary residence permit in Ukraine;
  • assistance in issues of medical care and insurance;
  • organization of cultural events;
  • issuance of diplomas and support in processing apostille and legalization of documents
The Preparatory Department for Foreign Citizens (PFC) operates within the Centre for International Education, providing them with preparation for admission to study at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and other higher education institutions of Ukraine. The structure and functions of the IEC are regulated by the Regulations on the Centre for International Education of the National Technical University of Ukraine ‘Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute’.
