International Unity Through Play: Games Night at the Center for International Education
On May 8, 2026, the Center for International Education (CIE) at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute transformed into a vibrant hub of cross-cultural interaction as it hosted a long-awaited Games Night. The event brought together Ukrainian and international students for an evening dedicated to team building, friendly competition, and cultural exchange.
The atmosphere at the CIE was electric from the start. The program was carefully designed to encourage movement and communication, breaking down language barriers through the universal language of sports and play. The highlights of the evening included:
- Sports Competitions: Enthusiastic table tennis matches and fast-paced table football (foosball) tournaments kept the competitive spirit high.
- Action Quests: A series of dynamic challenges tested the coordination and teamwork of the participants. From the high-energy “ball-toss challenge” to the hilarious and engaging “blindfold sticker” game, these activities sparked plenty of laughter and helped students bond in a relaxed environment.
- Global Networking: We were proud to see a diverse group of participants, with a strong representation of international students from Pakistan, Azerbaijan, and China. Seeing them collaborate and share stories with their Ukrainian peers was a testament to the inclusive community at our University.
The event concluded on a cozy note with a traditional tea ceremony, accompanied by board games and heartfelt conversations. This informal setting allowed students to make new friends, learn about different cultures, and feel more at home within the KPI community.
We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who attended and contributed to the wonderful “atmospheric” vibes of the night. Such initiatives remain a priority for the CIE as we continue to support the integration of international students and foster a global spirit on campus.
